Welcome to Chimney Field Farm!

Hey, Y’all!

After months of talking about it with friends, I’ve finally decided to take the leap & create a blog for our homestead! I’ll fill its pages with the diverse plethora of projects, crafts, recipes, and daily happenings going on right here at our hobby farm, as well as sharing a little bit about how we strive to live our lives ‘the ol’ fashioned way’ in this commercialism first world we all find ourselves in today. Check out the menu to see some of the first areas of interest I will be covering.

We are located near Devils Den State Park in Winslow, Arkansas. Our location contains what is left of the historic Chimney Field that our road is named after and sits on a south facing slope neatly tucked away near the mountain top. A true woodland wonderland,  there are several hundred acres of largely untouched forests available for our exploration and the Boston Mountain District of the Ozark National Forest can even be seen while taking in the southwesterly view.

Thanks for stopping by our brand new site. I sure hope you’ll join us on our Journey Toward Self Sufficiency!
